NetPulse.fyi is built by a sysadmin who got tired of finding out about DNS and email problems the hard way — from a customer, or from a bounced invoice, instead of from a monitoring tool. Uptime checkers are everywhere. Almost nothing watches the layer underneath: the DNS records, the email authentication, the domain registration — the stuff that fails silently and only gets noticed once it's already cost something.
Your hosting provider watches its own servers. Your registrar watches your renewal date, if you're lucky. Nobody watches the seams between the five or six different vendors a typical small business website actually depends on. That gap is what NetPulse.fyi exists to close.
NetPulse.fyi will never take automated action on your infrastructure. We'll tell you exactly what broke and exactly what to do about it — but the button gets pressed by you, not by us. That's not a limitation we're working around. It's a line we've drawn on purpose.
NetPulse.fyi is small and independently built right now — no funding, no big team, just a working product and a clear idea of what it should and shouldn't do. If that sounds like the kind of thing you'd want watching your own domains, we'd like to have you.
